The Garrett County Board of REALTORS® (GCBR) List Serv has been implemented to allow REALTOR® and Affiliate Members of GCBR to post notices to the membership concerning real estate business to include real estate related services or products. These notices may include new listings, price increases, price reductions, agency bonus, seller offer toward closing cost, open house event, mortgage rates, etc. Equal benefit is afforded to Affiliate members to post their business as it relates to the REALTOR® business.
Only messages that contain information related to the conduct of real estate business or Board of Directors approved activities shall be transmitted. These messages shall include notices and promotions sent by individual members to members regarding real property for sale. Any offer of a bonus must be made to the selling agency and not to the selling agent.
Messages not related to the conduct of real estate business shall not be permitted. These include but are not limited to promotion of a commercial venture other than real estate, notification of public event by a non-profit organization.
Failure to abide by the GCBR List Serv Rules & Regulations will result in a verbal and written warning for a first time violation; repeat violation may result in a 90 day suspension of the service at the discretion of the Board of Directors.
Any emergency public safety information items or community service notification, (example: the young man lost at Canaan Valley/volunteers needed to search), that needs distributed to the membership can be emailed to the Executive Officer ( Amy Lowdermilk at amy.lowdermilk@gcbr.org ) for review and distribution.
